Solar-powered CCTV tower and trailer hire for construction, roading and infrastructure projects across New Zealand

Keep traffic monitoring mobile as your site moves

On roading and traffic management jobs, layouts change often and the live work zone keeps moving. A static CCTV tower can quickly become poorly positioned, creating coverage gaps and extra work for your crew.

The mobile surveillance trailer hitches to any standard tow-bar, so your team can move it to the next section and keep coverage where the plant and people are working.

There is no trenching, no power cabling and no waiting for a HIAB to shift a static tower. The electronic mast raises to about five metres, providing a wider field of view than most static towers and improving sightlines across intersections and live lanes. Depending on placement and conditions, up to two kilometres of surveillance on each side and 360-degree rotation help keep boundaries, plant and traffic movements in view as the job advances.
For broader construction options, see Construction Site CCTV Hire.

Built for New Zealand roadwork conditions

Trailers are assembled and checked in Christchurch before delivery. Same-day drop-off is possible across Christchurch when stock allows, and deliveries to other regions are typically scheduled within a week.

Units are built for wind, rain, dust and heavy site use, with lock-down outriggers, anti-tamper alarms and reed sensors that flag interference immediately. A standard trailer setup includes two PTZ cameras and two overview cameras, with thermal options available where required.

Anti-backlight technology manages glare and night-time headlights. For equipment details, see Solar CCTV Towers & Systems.

Traffic analytics and remote response options

Where speed control is a safety issue, radar speed detection and number plate recognition can be integrated for 30 kph zones and other worksite requirements, with footage and data available to support follow-up action on speeding vehicles where appropriate.

Analytics can be configured for human and vehicle detection, hard-hat and high-vis checks, after-hours schedules and privacy masking for neighbouring properties. Notifications can be sent to your users, a monitoring station or both.

Peak Vision can connect the system to your preferred monitoring station or can handle this for you, billed as an additional monthly subscription. Two-way audio through the Hik-Connect app supports live site messages, and sirens can be fitted for restricted area breaches.

For bookings, trials or to discuss what is suitable for your project, see the
Contact page.

Off-grid solar power and clear hire terms

Solar panels and batteries keep the trailer running off-grid, with up to five days of operation without direct sunlight, depending on conditions. Connectivity is provided through Rapid Link, which searches for the strongest available 4G or 5G signal.

Booster aerials can be added where reception is poor. If there is no mobile coverage, Starlink can be installed and billed as an additional monthly charge.

Hire terms are clear: there is a one-month minimum, with most sites running for six to 18 months, and longer contracts available. A 30-day free trial is available for new sites (T&C's apply)

Insurance can be covered under your own project policy or added through Peak Vision at 10 per cent of the monthly rental. Short-term event hire may be possible when equipment and scheduling allow.
